If you were to ask Ronald McDonald if he thinks individuals will ever get tired of eating hamburgers, what would he say? Would it be anything other than no? His whole life is dedicated to selling hamburgers, so why would he be anything but bullish on their future? It’s important to him that people not only still buy hamburgers, but that they believe he is still purchased the future of hamburgers.
Anyway, Marvel Studios manager Kevin Feige recently appeared on Jason E. Squire’s The Movie Organization Podcast (via Range), and as you can probably think of, he feels the exact same method about the future of superhero motion pictures as Ronald McDonald does about the future of hamburgers. Feige stated that, pretty much because his “second year at Marvel,” individuals have actually asked him if he thinks comic book films are a “trend” and if their appeal will last much longer, and he has this understandably positive take:
I didn’t truly comprehend the concern. Since to me, it belonged to saying after ‘Chosen the Wind,’ ‘Well, the number of more movies can be scampered of books? Do you think the audience will sour on films being adapted from books?’ You would never ask that because there’s a fundamental understanding amongst the majority of people that a book can be anything. A book can have any kind of story whatsoever. So everything depends on what story you’re equating. Non-comic readers don’t understand that it’s the exact same thing in comics. There’s a little disingenuousness to his reaction, because the huge bulk of comic book motion pictures that have ever been made are superhero films, and not every movie based on a novel is a Civil War-era epic romance, however he is technically proper. There are other sort of stories that people could tell with comics adjustments, however once again,”comic book movie”and “superhero motion picture”tend to be pretty synonymous. Feige went on to state that Marvel has” 80 years of the most interesting
, psychological, cutting-edge stories that have been informed “in comics, and they all have adaptation capacity, so it’s just a matter of doing various genres and altering type of movies as required. He believes that, even after all of these years of Marvel motion pictures, audiences will remain as long as they have “the Marvel Studios logo above the title and a seed of an idea from our publishing history.”G/O Media may get a commission As much as $100 credit Samsung Reserve the next gen Samsung device All you require to do is join your e-mail and boom: credit
